Enjoy the lively Celtic sounds of "Behold, I Stand At The Door" and the mysterious alto flute in "Choose This Day."   God, Our Provider, will inspire and delight as your family effortlessly memorize 16 scripture verses.


This collection draws equally from the Old and New Testaments. It includes three full psalms (24, 100, and 121). There are also three songs from Proverbs, some foundational verses like Romans 8:1, Jesus' model prayer in Matthew 6, and even a "Books Of The Old Testament" song.


God, Our Provider, includes instrumental-only tracks for memory practice and performance. Recommended for ages 7 and up. KJV, RSV, NAS. 



About the Sing The Word Series:

Most Christian children's music seems trivial at best and all too frequently become unbiblical in an effort at simplicity. The music can range from tedious to obnoxious, and even if the humor was funny once, it quickly becomes exasperating as it is repeated over and over during the day. 


Thankfully, the Sing The Word Series is very different. Sung by and for children, the words you'll hear are taken directly from the scriptures. The music itself encompasses various musical styles and is neither tedious nor grating.


After listening, we were surprised to find ourselves singing the verses around the house, complete with the correct references. For a family with chronic poor memory, this was notable! 


Perhaps this was because the words are repeated several times in each song. Or maybe it is because the children's voices are so pleasing to listen to, and the tunes are catchy and easy to sing. 


Sing The Word Series is Produced by a musically enterprising couple and their clutch of young children. The Harrows found that their musical sophistication grew with their children. So expect more complex scriptural content and great musical variety (a Baroque string orchestra, a rhythmically intense Salsa band, an Irish jig...) throughout the series. 


The Bible versions vary too, including NIV, KJV, NKJV, RSV, and NAS.

    A Good Meditation

    These are sweet songs, using the scripture itself. We sometimes play them at bedtime. My daughter was belting out "Pleasant words are a honeycomb" while playing.
    The songs are sometimes to familiar tunes, some this family composed. I am glad we bought them.

    My new favorite Scripture Memory CD!

    We were looking for some new Scripture memory CDs for our youngest, and chose a couple of the "Sing the Word" series based on Joy's reviews. We are a family of musicians and tend to be rather opinionated where music is concerned. If Scripture is involved,we want the music to be well written and reverent, not silly or annoying, or "fun" just for the purpose of entertaining. We were not disappointed! This CD covers a wide variety of musical genres, but each one fits the text. The musical arrangements are very well done. Both parents of this talented family are professional musicians with graduate degrees from Eastman School of Music, and the professionalism shows. These are not cheesy little ditties; this is real music played on real instruments by real musicians. Where else have you heard a CD for kids accompanied by alto flute, flugelhorn, bass clarinet, or shofar? (As a flutist, I loved the amazing flute & piccolo arrangements on almost every track!) This is a great resource for Scripture memory, and a wonderful addition to the family listening library!
