Gymnic Physio Roll

After you've read Active Baby, Healthy Brain, the idea of a peanut-shaped Gymnic Physio Roll makes perfect sense. In that book, the author explains how using an exercise and therapy ball, with its inclination towards instability, will strengthen your baby's core muscles, body awareness, balance, and attention. You can use another exercise ball, but we like the idea of using the Gymnic Physio Roll.

Because of its unique shape, the Gymnic Physio Roll will move in only one direction, providing unparalleled security and stability. This stability makes using the Physio Roll less daunting for new parents. The center dip that holds any rider safe within its contoured "saddle" can also morph into a trusty steed for siblings when the baby is napping. And if your older child needs a bit of therapy, the Physio Roll is an ideal resource for balance, strengthening, and proprioceptive activities. In fact, the Gymnic brand is one of the most popular brands used by therapists. With a grooved surface for better grip, Physio Roll will hold up to 270 pounds!

From the Manufacturer:
The double ball design of Physio Roll makes it a valuable tool for several purposes. Physio Rolls are easier to use than traditional gym balls as most of the movement is limited to forward and back, providing maximum stability during exercise. The wide saddle shape offers additional support so users of all ages can exercise in a safe way. The therapist can sit on the ball and control the patient’s movements. Physio Roll has become a classic in the physiotherapy practice since many years: it is ideal for those who have coordination and balance difficulties, for disabled people as well as elderly people. Also suitable for activities with children.

    Perfect for younger children

This Physio Roll ball by Gymnic is high quality! Very sturdy, and the perfect size for my kids to use. Even adults can use it, since it is made for them, too! Great addition to my kit!

    The bouncy ball you need

This peanut ball is fantastic for various physical therapy exercises for newborns to the elderly. It's strong and sturdy and, as the description says, the shape makes it more stable than a round exercise ball as it can only roll in one direction.

Good for active toddlers and pre-schoolers and elementary schoolers with the wiggles, and a fantastic toy if you're like me and live in a harsh environment that requires a LOT of days of indoor play. Will probably need more than one to prevent arguing whose turn it is as the kids get older!

    Best for young wiggle worms

Our 2 year old granddaughter was always trying to sit on our yoga ball. Got this for her to explore. It still takes a bit for her to balance herself, but she has less mishaps. I hold her feet and let her roll back and forth on her tummy using the strength of her arms to steady herself. Otherwise she attempts to sit saddle style. Good purchase.

    Very sturdy

This is a very sturdy item. My child likes to climb over it currently. We don't use it a whole ton but I believe it's for the infant part of the tiny tots curriculum so we'll be using it with our other son once he's born and old enough.
