Tiny fingers need tiny crayons to teach how to properly hold writing utensils. These crayons give no option except to hold the crayon in a pincer grasp which encourages the development of strong fingers for writing. These were so helpful for my girls.

These are so great for our little 2 year old to grip and use. Even though a lot of his art is scribbles, it's easier to do with these than regular crayons.

I know, my title...It's treason then. I never thought the magnificent Crayola could ever hope to have competition. And it still has it's niche...for older kids. Parents of the majority of toddlers and preschoolers know that Crayolas are going to be snapped, smashed, destroyed and eaten. Plus they are way too small for chubby toddler hands. Enter crayon rocks. These gorgeous beauties are the best invention since the coloring book. The rocks are BEAUTIFUL, the colors are rich and they are just perfect for young childrens hands: fat and chunky. They promote grip strength and hand coordination without the soreness and are sturdy enough to take a pounding. I can't say enough good things about crayon rocks, I am a fan for life and my son loves them too. He's used them nonstop since finding them in his stocking Christmas morning.
